Evan

Evan is a stunning, sweet, and sensitive boy who’s thriving in a home environment for the very first time. He’s a high energy dog who loves playing with toys and other dogs, and would make the perfect hiking or running companion. He’s just as happy spending his days out exploring as he is curling up for cuddles in the evening. Evan travels brilliantly in the car, enjoys running in enclosed fields, walks nicely on the lead, and is already showing great recall and training progress. He thrives on positive interaction verbal praise and affection mean just as much to him as treats.

Evan absolutely adores his people (especially women) and is very affectionate. After spending so long in kennels, he initially found it hard being separated and would get upset when doors were closed, sometimes leading to stress peeing. However, he’s made fantastic progress, is now much more settled, and is clean and dry overnight.

He currently lives with four female dogs and is respectful, playful, and very comfortable sharing space, toys, and food. Like a typical Velcro dog, he formed a strong bond with his foster mum and initially showed some guarding behaviours when feeling insecure. With reassurance and clear boundaries, he’s now much more relaxed and happy sharing attention.

Evan doesn’t have a bad bone in his body, but he will need an experienced, patient home that understands dog behaviour and can reassure him when he feels unsure.

He’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the time, who enjoys an active lifestyle, and with at least one friendly female dog companions to help him continue building confidence.
